Regular Season Round 15: Suchy Las - AZS UMK Torun 92-101

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Suchy Las' (5-10) home loss to eighth ranked AZS UMK Torun (7-7) 92-101 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 14 points after three quarters before their 38-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. AZS UMK Torun made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Suchy Las were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Marek Kondraciuk (198-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Zbigniew Malinowski (188-84) helped adding 22 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was guard Damian Szymczak (185-95) with 20 points and 8 assists and power forward Filip Taisner (202-94) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS UMK Torun moved-up to seventh place in Group A. Loser Suchy Las keep the ninth position with ten games lost. AZS UMK Torun will face league's second-placed Kalisz at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Suchy Las will play against Notec (#4) in Inowroclaw and hope to win that game.
