Everything went according to plan in St.Catharines, ON where second ranked Lancers (9-5) outscored 7th ranked Badgers (2-12) 110-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Lancers. Badgers was better in fourth quarter 30-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lancers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Badgers' 34. They outrebounded Badgers 49-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lancers shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Lien Phillip (203-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Enrico Diloreto (185-90) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Forward Dani Elgadi (201) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tshing Kasamba (196) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Lancers and four Badgers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lancers maintains second position with 9-5 record having three points less than leader McMaster, which they share with 3 other teams. Badgers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Lancers will face Mustangs (#3) in London, ON in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
