Regular Season Round 20: Winnipeg - Regina 90-76

No shocking result in a game in Winnipeg, MB where fourth ranked Wesmen (9-5) won against 7th ranked Cougars (4-10) 90-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Wesmen. Cougars was better in second period 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wesmen made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jelane Pryce (201) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Jordan Clennon (183, college: West Plains JC) who added 20 points during the contest. Guard Brandon Tull (193) responded with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Brendan Hebert (183) scored 11 points and 8 assists. Five Cougars players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wesmen have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Cougars dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Wesmen will face Bobcats (#6) in Brandon, MB in the next round.
