Regular Season Round 15: Alba Chorzow - Gimbasket Wroclaw 82-43

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Alba Chorzow (10-5) outleveled at home 12th ranked Gimbasket Wroclaw (1-14) 82-43 on Saturday. The game without a history. Alba Chorzow led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Gimbasket Wroclaw's 28. They outrebounded Gimbasket Wroclaw 51-28 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Alba Chorzow looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gimbasket Wroclaw's players. It was a great evening for power forward Adam Spychala (197-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. Dawid Gambusz (199-94) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Alba Chorzow players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Maciej Kosciuk (181-94) with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Maciej Krowczynski (193-94) scored 6 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Alba Chorzow moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Pogon Prudnik. Gimbasket Wroclaw lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Alba Chorzow will face Nysa Klodzko (#7) in Kloszko in the next round. Gimbasket Wroclaw will play at home against Pogon Prudnik (#3) and hope to win that game.
