Bottom-ranked Qatar Sports Club managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they edged seventh-ranked Al Wakrah in Doha 86-84. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Melquan Bolding (190-88, college: Fair Dickinson) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 assists. Swingman Chauncey Leslie (183-81, college: Iowa) contributed with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Dalron Johnson (206-81, college: UNLV) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds and guard Anthony Taylor (188, college: Urbana) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists in the effort for Al Wakrah. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Qatar Sports Club (3-14) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Al Ahli. Al Wakrah at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Qatar Sports Club will play against higher ranked Al Khor (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Al Wakrah will play against the league's second-placed Al Jaysh and will have a slim chance for a victory.
