The game in Laksevag was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Asker Aliens (8-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Froya Basket (6-7). Asker Aliens managed to secure a 6-point victory 76-70. It looked good early as Froya Basket took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Asker Aliens had a 19-2 second period charge getting the lead and Froya Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-76. Asker Aliens dominated on the defensive end, holding Froya Basket to just 2 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Froya Basket 38-21 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Anders Stien (195-90) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Even 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by Latvian guard Edmunds Gabrans (189-79) did not help to save the game for Froya Basket. The former international forward Frank Nyborg (197-83) added 19 points for lost side. Four Froya Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Asker Aliens went down to fifth position due to points difference. Froya Basket at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Asker Aliens' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Sverresborg (#8) in Trondheim.
