Regular Season Round 26: Iskra Svit - Levice 88-64

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Levice (4-19) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Iskra Svit (14-9) 88-64. The game was mostly controlled by Iskra Svit. Levice was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Iskra Svit forced 21 Levice turnovers and outrebounded them 39-24 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Center Tyrone McNeal (213-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Center Elijah Obade (206-91, college: Millersville) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and guard Brandon Lockhart (185-90, college: Drury) added 8 points and 7 assists in the effort for Levice. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iskra Svit moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rieker KN. Levice at the other side keeps the eighth position with 19 games lost. Iskra Svit will play against league's second-placed Nitra in Nitra in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Levice will play at home against SKP Banska Bystrica (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
