Regular Season Round 15: Wisla Krakow - Pulaski Warka 67-106

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Wisla Krakow (4-11) was outplayed at home by tenth ranked Pulaski Warka (4-11) 106-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Pulaski Warka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Pulaski Warka forced 19 Wisla Krakow turnovers and had a 33-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Wisla Krakow was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Pawel Piros (185-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 8 assists. Forward Maciej Cukierda (195-91) helped adding 21 points and 15 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Pulaski Warka players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Przemyslaw Urbanek (197-89) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Wisla Krakow's coach Marcin Kekus gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Pulaski Warka moved-up to ninth place in Group C, which they share with defeated Wisla Krakow. Pulaski Warka will face league's second-placed AZS AGH Alstom in Krakow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
