Santo Andre's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Rio Claro (1-4) 67-44 on Saturday. Santo Andre dominated on the defensive end, holding Rio Claro to just 4 points in fourth quarter. They held Rio Claro to an opponent 21.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Santo Andre forced 20 Rio Claro turnovers and had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Flavia Santos (187-82) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds.
