No shocking result in a game in San Sebastian where fourth ranked Jopisa Burgos (7-6) defeated 10th ranked Pais Vasco (5-8) 71-67. It looked good early as Pais Vasco took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Jopisa Burgos had a 19-13 second period charge getting the lead and Pais Vasco was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-71. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Patricia Arguello (178-87) who helped to win the game recording 15 points. Guard Berta Chumillas (173-90) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Jopisa Burgos players scored in double figures. point guard Maria Gomez (170-82) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists and center Miriam Foraste (190-91, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 17 points in the effort for Pais Vasco. Jopisa Burgos maintains fourth place with 7-6 record. Newly promoted Pais Vasco keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Jopisa Burgos will play against Ibaizabal (#11) in Galdakao in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pais Vasco will play at home against the league's leader Perfumerias Avenida and hopes to get back on the winning track.
