Regular Season Round 16: Start Lublin - SIDEn Torun 87-94

1Liga top team - SIDEn Torun (15-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Start Lublin (9-7) 94-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Start Lublin. They outrebounded Start Lublin 36-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. SIDEn Torun players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Adam Lisewski (205-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Bartosz Bochno (193-88) who added 15 points and 7 assists during the contest. SIDEn Torun's coach Grzegorz Sowinski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) responded with 23 points and the former international swingman Wojciech Szawarski (195-76) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SIDEn Torun have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Start Lublin at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Sokol Lancut. SIDEn Torun will play against bottom-ranked Spojnia (#14) in Stargard in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Start Lublin will play on the road against Znicz Basket (#10) in Pruszkow and hopes to get back on the winning track.
