Regular Season Round 15: Hitachi Cougars - Denso Iris 58-77

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Denso Iris (12-3) crushed 10th ranked Hitachi Cougars (2-13) in Hitachinaka 77-58. The game without a history. Denso Iris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Yuri Ushida (181-89) chipped in 7 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Denso Iris' coach Hiroshi Kojima allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Aiko Ishihara (178-92) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and center Kayoko Amano (180-89) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Denso Iris moved-up to third place, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Hitachi Cougars lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Denso Iris' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (#12) at home and are hoping to win another game. Hitachi Cougars will play against Ebara Vickies and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
