Regular Season Round 15: Trefl Sopot - Anwil 77-70

The game between Top Four teams took place in Sopot. Second ranked host Trefl Sopot (11-3) defeated 4th placed Anwil (9-6) 77-70. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-70. It was a great evening for the former international forward Marcin Stefanski (200-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). The former international Pawel Leonczyk (202-86) helped adding 13 points. Four Trefl Sopot players scored in double figures. Trefl Sopot's coach Darius Maskoliunas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian Deividas Dulkys (196-88, college: Florida St.) with 15 points and American power forward Keith Clanton (206-90, college: Cent.Florida) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Trefl Sopot maintains second place with 11-3 record behind leader Stelmet ZG. Anwil lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Trefl Sopot are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Stabill Jezioro (#12) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anwil will play at home against AZS Koszalin (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
