Strangely Liffey Celtics outrebounded Ulster Rockets 41-25 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Kerri Shields (175-90, college: Boston Coll.) who scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Mairead McNally (175-88, college: Stetson) chipped in 22 points.
