There was no surprise in Manresa where 13th ranked La Bruixa d'Or (5-11) was defeated by second ranked Valencia Basket (14-2) 76-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. La Bruixa d'Or managed to win second period 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Central African swingman Romain Sato (194-81, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Justin Doellman (206-85, college: Xavier, agency: Beo Basket) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Darryl Monroe (198-86, college: George Mason, agency: SportsTalent) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and center Oliver Arteaga (207-83) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. La Bruixa d'Or's coach Borja Comenge rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Valencia Basket have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-2 record having just two points less than leader Real Madrid. Loser La Bruixa d'Or dropped to the fourteenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Blusens M. and Fuenlabrada. Valencia Basket will meet at home FIATC Joventut (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
