No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Aanekosken (6-8) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Forssan Alku (2-13) 79-57 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Aanekosken. Forssan Alku managed to win fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aanekosken had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Her fellow American import guard Brandi Davis (183-83, college: Oregon) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Anniina Aijanen (189-95) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Telia McCall (185-90, college: Virginia) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Aanekosken maintains fifth place with 6-8 record. Forssan Alku lost seventh consecutive game. Forssan Alku at the other side stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Aanekosken are looking forward to face Tapiolan Honka (#6) on the road in the next round. Forssan Alku will play against TuRi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
