Regular Season Round 15: Landes - Nice 84-59

Very predictable result in Mont de Marsan where fifth ranked Basket Landes (10-5) outscored bottom-ranked Nice (3-12) 84-59 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Landes. Nice managed to win fourth quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for international forward Valeriane Ayayi (185-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points. American forward Danielle Page (188-86, college: Nebraska) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Basket Landes players scored in double figures. Basket Landes' coach Olivier Lafargue felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Alexandra Tchangoue (180-85, college: Wake Forest) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Margaux Galliou-Loko (183-93) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Basket Landes maintains fifth place with 10-5 record. Nice lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with Mondeville. Basket Landes will meet Angers (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nice will play against the league's leader Bourges and hope to secure a win.
