Very expected game when 17th ranked Espirito Santo (3-11) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (6-10) 79-74. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Espirito Santo won third quarter 26-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Lucas Tischer (208-83) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Paschoalotto/Bauru's coach Jorge Guerra allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
