Leader Hapoel Jerusalem delivered the thirteenth victory on Monday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Hapoel Holon (8-8) 71-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hapoel Holon. The game without a history. Hapoel Jerusalem led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of international Lior Eliyahu (206-85, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and American Josh Duncan (203-86) who added 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Brian Asbury (200-86, college: Miami, FL) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman D.J. Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) scored 16 points. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem (13-3) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Loser Hapoel Holon keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Hapoel Eilat. Hapoel Jerusalem will meet at home Ironi Nes-Ziona (#5) in the next round. Hapoel Holon will play against GreenTops Netanya and hope to secure a win.
