Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (9-6) against ninth ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (7-8) on Tuesday night. Visiting Ironi Ramat Gan was defeated by Hapoel Kfar Saba in Kfar Saba 98-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ironi Ramat Gan. Ironi Ramat Gan was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Hapoel Kfar Saba made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) who scored 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Adir Harush (187-90) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Hapoel Kfar Saba players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Mark Tyndale (196-86, college: Temple) who recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward T.J. Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St., agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Hapoel Kfar Saba moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Elizur Ashkelon and Hapoel Migd.H. Loser Ironi Ramat Gan dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with R.Hasharon. Hapoel Kfar Saba will meet Ironi Kiryat Ata (#10) on the road in the next round. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against Hapoel Afula (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
