Regular Season Round 29: Uppsala - Nassjo 75-83

An interesting game took place in Uppsala where higher ranked Uppsala Basket (11-11) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked Nassjo (5-18) 83-75 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Uppsala Basket. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Uppsala Basket won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nassjo made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley, agency: Three Eye Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 15 points. American power forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Australian-Irish forward Liam Rush (202-82) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Four Uppsala Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nassjo maintains ninth place with 5-18 record. Loser Uppsala Basket dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Nassjo will meet at home league's second-placed Sodertalje Kings in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Uppsala Basket will play against LF Basket (#7) in Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
