Very predictable result when fourth ranked Sundsvall Dragons (13-10) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Eco Orebro (3-21) 94-79 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-79. Sundsvall Dragons made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) who scored 28 points and 6 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. Sundsvall Dragons' coach Peter Oqvist used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian point guard Mario Pesut (184-90) produced 21 points and 5 assists and American forward Brandon Hassell (209-86, college: Penn St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sundsvall Dragons. They moved-up to third place. Eco Orebro lost their seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Sundsvall Dragons will meet at home league's leader Boras Basket in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Eco Orebro will play against KFUM Jamtland (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
