Regular Season Round 16: PGE Turow - Trefl Sopot 94-76

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zgorzelec. Second ranked PGE Turow faced one of their biggest challengers Trefl Sopot. Host PGE Turow (12-4) defeated guests from Sopot (12-4) 94-76. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Trefl Sopot managed to win fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. PGE Turow forced 19 Trefl Sopot turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward J.P. Prince (198-87, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) who added 21 points during the contest. At the losing side international Michal Michalak (196-93) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Marcin Stefanski (200-83) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PGE Turow have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record behind leader Stelmet ZG, which they share with defeated Trefl Sopot. PGE Turow will meet at home Kotwica (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trefl Sopot will play against Polpharma (#11) and hope to secure a win.
