Everything could happen in Winnipeg at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Wesmen and 6th ranked Bobcats had identical 5-9 record. This time Wesmen used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Brandon 58-54 on Thursday night. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 58-54. Wesmen dominated on the defensive end, holding Bobcats to just 0 points in second quarter. Forward Kaela Cranston (180-93) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Cassie Cooke (173-91, college: Mt.St.Marys) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bobcats. Wesmen maintains fifth place with 6-9 record. Loser Bobcats dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
