Regular Season Round 22: Lethbridge - Saskatchewan 55-87

Date: January 24, 2014
An interesting game for Huskies (12-3) which played road game in Lethbridge, AB against 4th ranked Pronghorn (9-6). Second ranked Huskies had an easy win 87-55. The game without a history. Huskies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Huskies outrebounded Pronghorn 45-22 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American point guard Stephon Lamar (184, college: Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import forward Dadrian Collins (198, college: Howard) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Australian forward Brandon Brine (198) replied with 16 points and guard Logan Reiter (188) added 13 points in the effort for Pronghorn. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Huskies have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ryerson and McMaster. Loser Pronghorn keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Huskies will have a break next round. Pronghorn will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Huskies (#2) in Saskatoon, SK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
