An interesting game for Vikies (13-2) which played road game in Calgary, AB against 3rd ranked Cougars (7-7). First ranked Vikies had an easy win 68-49. The game was mostly controlled by Vikies. Cougars was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vikies dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Cougars' 22. American swingman Terrell Evans (193) fired 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Reiner Theil (193) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Mangk Akwl (196) produced 11 points and guard Jalen Gardener (183) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vikies have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record, which they share with Ottawa and Alberta. Cougars at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. Vikies will have a break next round. Cougars will play again on the road against the league's leader Vikies in Victoria, BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
