Regular Season Round 17: Tarvas - TTU 88-76

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rakvere. Second ranked BC Rakvere faced 3rd placed TTU. Host BC Rakvere (13-6) defeated guests from Tallinn (11-6) 88-76. It looked good early as TTU took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then BC Rakvere had a 24-18 second period charge getting the lead and TTU was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-88. BC Rakvere made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. International point guard Kristo Saage (187-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points. The former international forward Rait Keerles (201-80) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Erik Keedus (198-90) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and international center Rain Raadik (208-89) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TTU. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Rakvere maintains second place with 13-6 record behind leader TU/Rock. TTU at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. BC Rakvere will play against KK Parnu (#6) at home in the next round. TTU will play against Rapla and hopes to get back on the winning track.
