No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked ALM Evreux (15-10) defeated at home 15th ranked Boulazac Basket (10-15) 77-68 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) fired 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Lahaou Konate (196-91) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import swingman Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ALM Evreux moved-up to fifth place. Boulazac Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. ALM Evreux will face league's second-placed JL Bourg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boulazac Basket will play against Fos Ouest (#6) and hope to win that game.
