Regular Season Round 19: Sozh Gomel - Tsmoki-Minsk II 94-105

The game between third ranked Sozh Gomel (14-5) and fifth ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (7-12) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Sozh Gomel was defeated by Tsmoki-Minsk II in Gomel 105-94. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 26-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Power forward Siarhei Kazlou (200-95) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Tsimafei Yeusiyevich (197-95) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Tsmoki-Minsk II's coach Heorhi Kandrusevich used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ukrainian forward Sergei Dadukin (198-83) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Siarhei Charykau (185-82, college: Yakima Valley CC) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tsmoki-Minsk II moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Impuls BGUIR. Sozh Gomel at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk II is looking forward to face Prinemanye (#6) in Grodno in the next round. Sozh Gomel will play on the road against Rubon in Vitebsk and is hoping to win this game.
