Regular Season Round 25: Hokkaido L. - Mitsubishi DD 79-68

An interesting game for Hokkaido L. (16-12) which hosted in Saporro 3rd placed Mitsubishi Dolphins (15-13). Third ranked Hokkaido L. managed to get a 11-point victory 79-68. The game was mostly controlled by Hokkaido L.. Mitsubishi Dolphins managed to win third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Mitsubishi Dolphins 53-33 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds. Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Shogo Asayama (192-81) added 15 points respectively for Mitsubishi Dolphins in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hokkaido L. maintains third place with 16-12 record having ten points less than leader Toshiba BT which they share with defeated Mitsubishi Dolphins. Loser Mitsubishi Dolphins keep the third position with 13 games lost. Hokkaido L. will again meet at home Mitsubishi Dolphins (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mitsubishi Dolphins will have a break next round.
