No shocking result in a game in Kolobrzeg where eighth ranked Asseco (8-8) defeated 10th ranked Kotwica (3-13) 75-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Asseco. Kotwica was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kotwica to just 4 points in first quarter. Russian Fedor Dmitriev (204-84, agency: Alti Sport) fired 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) chipped in 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Asseco's coach David Dedek used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Asseco will face higher ranked Energa Czarni (#5) in Slupsk in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kotwica will play on the road against the league's second-placed PGE Turow (#2) in Zgorzelec and hope to win that game.
