Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Cieszyn (2-14) was outplayed at home by first ranked GKS Tychy (15-1) 125-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. GKS Tychy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Cieszyn's 46 and made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. GKS Tychy forced 25 Cieszyn turnovers and outrebounded them 45-23 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Tomasz Bzdyra (200-83) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Leszek Siwy (196-83) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Michal Kubaczka (190-94) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five GKS Tychy and four Cieszyn players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. GKS Tychy have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 15-1 record, which they share with GTK Gliwice. Cieszyn lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with 14 games lost. GKS Tychy will face AZS Pol.Cz-wa (#10) in Czestochowa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cieszyn will play on the road against Mickiewicz in Katowice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
