Very expected game when 8th ranked Piaseczno (5-11) was rolled over on the road by third ranked UMKS Kielce (12-4) 109-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. UMKS Kielce led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Piaseczno's 34. They outrebounded Piaseczno 47-28 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. UMKS Kielce looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Piaseczno was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Jakub Dryjanski (202-82) fired 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Artur Busz (194-88) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four UMKS Kielce players scored in double figures. Forward Sebastian Okola (199-85, college: Mid Plains CC) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Lukasz Zajaczkowski (182-81) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMKS Kielce moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. Loser Piaseczno keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. UMKS Kielce will face Ostrow Mazow. (#12) in Ostrow Mazowiecki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Piaseczno will play at home against Pulaski Warka (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
