No shocking result in a game in Brandon, MB where third ranked Wesmen (11-5) won against 6th ranked Bobcats (5-11) 77-69 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-69. Wesmen outrebounded Bobcats 42-28 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Wesmen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. It was a great evening for American forward Steven Wesley (196, college: E.Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jordan Clennon (183, college: West Plains JC) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Wesmen's coach Mike Raimbault allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Jordan Reaves (196) responded with 13 points and 5 assists and naturalized Algerian forward Ali-Mounir Benabdelhak (198-86) scored 14 points. Four Bobcats players scored in double figures. Wesmen have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Laurentian and UFV. Bobcats lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
