There was no surprise when 12th ranked Gimbasket Wroclaw (1-15) was crushed at home by third ranked Pogon Prudnik (11-5) 78-40 on Saturday. The game without a history. Pogon Prudnik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gimbasket Wroclaw to just 6 points in first quarter. Pogon Prudnik forced 23 Gimbasket Wroclaw turnovers. Swingman Kacper Stalicki (195-92) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Wojciech Leszczynski (185-92) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Center Michal Gluchowicz (193-94) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Maciej Kosciuk (181-94) added 4 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pogon Prudnik have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group B with 11-5 record having just two points less than leader Legia, which they share with Alba Chorzow. Gimbasket Wroclaw lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 15 games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face league's second-placed GTK Gliwice on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gimbasket Wroclaw will play against Nysa Klodzko (#8) in Kloszko and hope to win that game.
