Very important is a road loss of second ranked CREF Hola (8-3) against ninth ranked Dist.Olimpico (4-7) on Saturday night. Visiting CREF Hola was defeated by Dist.Olimpico in a tough game in Madrid 57-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of CREF Hola. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 8 points. Dist.Olimpico forced 20 CREF Hola turnovers and outrebounded them 34-20 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for center Monica Garrido (185-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who led her team to a victory scoring 9 points and 13 rebounds. Maria Brezo helped adding 17 points. Dist.Olimpico's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Chelsey Lee (188-89, college: Rutgers) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and guard Esther Moreno (178-85) scored 13 points. Four CREF Hola players scored in double figures. Dist.Olimpico moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. CREF Hola at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Promete. Dist.Olimpico's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid ASEFA Estudiantes.
