Regular Season Round 23: Memorial - St.Francis X. 65-85

Everything went according to plan in St.John's, NL where fifth ranked X-Men (8-5) outscored 8th ranked Sea Hawks (1-11) 85-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by X-Men. Sea Hawks was better in third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. X-Men forced 23 Sea Hawks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for forward Alex Arthur (198) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 7 rebounds. Australian forward Shane Coupland (196-89) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Caleb Gould (196) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Davion Parnsalu (180) scored 13 points. Four Sea Hawks players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. X-Men moved-up to third place, which they share with UNB. Sea Hawks lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
