Sixth ranked Sao Jose/Vinac won an overtime thriller edging second-ranked Paulistano by one point 92-93 on Saturday night. The game took place in Sao Paolo. But the guests from Sao Jose were better at the end. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Paulistano. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-19 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 1-point victory in overtime. Sao Jose/Vinac forced 20 Paulistano turnovers. American-Dominican point guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-85, college: USF) saved the victory by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Andre Luiz Brugger (192-81) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Arthur Pecos (183-95) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Paulistano.
