Regular Season Round 28: Nova Ves - Prievidza 47-83

9th ranked Nova Ves (2-22) were outscored at home by third ranked Prievidza (18-7) with the biggest margin this round 83-47. The game without a history. Prievidza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nova Ves to just 4 points in second quarter. It was a very good performance for Croatian power forward Drazen Klaric (204-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Croatian swingman Marko Batina (198-86) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. The former international forward Stanislav Baldovsky (192-89) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Polish power forward Maciej Strzelecki (204-87) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Nova Ves. Nova Ves' coach Milan Cernicky gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Prievidza have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nitra. Nova Ves lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Prievidza will have a break next round. Nova Ves will play on the road against Nitra (#3) in Nitra and hope to win that game.
