Regular Season Round 16: Anwil - AZS Koszalin 75-70

There was no surprise in Wloclawek where 9th ranked AZS Koszalin (6-9) was defeated by fourth ranked Anwil (10-6) 75-70 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. AZS Koszalin trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 24-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-75 at the end of the game. AZS Koszalin was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian point guard Dusan Katnic (193-89, agency: Beo Basket) fired 22 points and 7 assists for the winners. Naturalized Bosnian power forward Seid Hajric (203-83) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. American guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) produced 26 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Raymond Sykes (206-86, college: Clemson, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Anwil maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. AZS Koszalin lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with nine games lost. Anwil will face league's leader Stelmet ZG in Zielona Gora in the next round and it may be the game of the week. AZS Koszalin will play at home against Stabill Jezioro (#12) and hope to win that game.
