Rather expected game in Pruszkow where 10th ranked Znicz Basket (4-13) was defeated by eighth ranked Start Lublin (10-7) 58-51 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Znicz Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Marcel Wilczek (204-86, agency: Promotex) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and point guard Kamil Michalski (182-87, agency: Promotex) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 20 rebounds and forward Przemyslaw Lewandowski (198-78, agency: Promotex) scored 9 points. Start Lublin moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Wilki Morskie and Sokol Lancut. Znicz Basket lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Start Lublin will face bottom-ranked Spojnia (#14) in Stargard in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Znicz Basket will play on the road against AZS PP (#13) in Poznan and hope to win that game.
