Bottom-ranked Zamarat managed to get a third victory, breaking the six-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Cadi ICG S. in Seu D'urgell 70-56. The game was mostly controlled by Zamarat. Cadi ICG S. managed to win third quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Zamarat won last quarter 20-8. Zamarat outrebounded Cadi ICG S. 44-26 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American swingman Shameka Christon (186-82, college: Arkansas, agency: Josep and Nicolas) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Slovenian center Sandra Pirsic (197-84) supported her with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by American swingman Aja Parham (183-84, college: Boston Coll.) did not help to save the game for Cadi ICG S.. point guard Maria Asurmendi (168-86) added 9 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Zamarat maintains twelfth position with 3-11 record. Loser Cadi ICG S. dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Mann Filter and Conquero.
