There was no surprise when 11th ranked Pabellon Ourense (2-9) was defeated at home by eighth ranked ADBA (6-5) 71-57 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 40-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. ADBA dominated on the defensive end, holding Pabellon Ourense to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 23 Pabellon Ourense turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Lara Fernandez (180-87) who scored 15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Pamela Moral (175-82) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four ADBA players scored in double figures. Naturalized Paraguayan guard Claudia Aponte (173-91) produced 28 points and 5 assists and center Mar Ahijado (192-85) added 2 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the hosts. ADBA moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with Cortegada. Pabellon Ourense lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. ADBA will face Cortegada (#5) in Vilagarcia Arousa in the next round. Pabellon Ourense will play at home against Oviedo (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
