The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked TuRi's (4-12) road victory over bottom-ranked Forssan Alku (2-14) 84-62. The game without a history. TuRi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TuRi outrebounded Forssan Alku 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard La'Keisha Sutton (175-90, college: S.Carolina) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Camilla Gronberg (179-94) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Telia McCall (185-90, college: Virginia) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Hope Elam (185-89, college: Indiana, agency: Gamble Sports Management) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Forssan Alku's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. TuRi moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kerava. Forssan Alku lost eighth consecutive game. Forssan Alku at the other side stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. TuRi's next round opponent will be higher ranked Tapiolan Honka (#6) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Forssan Alku will play against Kerava Energia Team and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
