We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Regina, SK where eighth ranked Bisons (4-12) beat 7th ranked Cougars (4-12) 83-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-71. Bisons dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cougars' 24. They outrebounded Cougars 43-31 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Dan Penner (201) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Andre Arruda-Welch (193) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Bisons players scored in double figures. Guard Brandon Tull (193) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Brendan Hebert (183) scored 14 points. Cougars' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bisons have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Cougars. Cougars lost fourth consecutive game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
