Regular Season Round 16: Toyota A. - Toyota B SR 63-57

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Toyota A. (12-4) won against 9th ranked Toyota B SR (4-12) in Nagoya 63-57 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Toyota B SR trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 23-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-63 at the end of the game. The winners were led by the former international forward Kazumi Suzuki (177-86) who scored that evening 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Emi Kudeken (165-84) supported her with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. Even 18 points by swingman Tomomi Ikeda (169-88) did not help to save the game for Toyota B SR. Guard Yoshie Watanabe (162-86) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Toyota A. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 12-4 record. Toyota B SR lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Aishin AW. Toyota A. will meet at home higher ranked Fujitsu RW (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Toyota B SR will play against Aishin Wings (#8) in Anjo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
