Regular Season Round 21: Lethbridge - Saskatchewan 58-80

Date: January 25, 2014
There was no surprise when 6th ranked Lethbridge (5-11) was crushed at home by third ranked Huskies (13-3) 80-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Huskies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Huskies forced 22 Lethbridge turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Dalyce Emmerson (191-93) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. Forward Kiera Lyons (178) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kimberley Veldman (188) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Ali Cameron (163) added 19 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Huskies keep a position of league leader, which they share with UFV and Laurier. Lethbridge lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
