The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Wesmen's (7-9) road victory over 6th ranked Bobcats (5-11) 76-66 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Wesmen. Bobcats was better in third quarter 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Bobcats to just 6 points in first quarter. Wesmen forced 21 Bobcats turnovers. Strangely Bobcats outrebounded Wesmen 45-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Megan Noonan (170) who scored 17 points and 6 assists. Guard Stephanie Kleysen (178) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Cassie Cooke (173-91, college: Mt.St.Marys) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import point guard Aleah Bridges (160) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Five Wesmen and four Bobcats players scored in double figures. Bobcats' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wesmen maintains fifth place with 7-9 record which they share with defeated Bobcats. Loser Bobcats dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
