The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Laval's (3-7) road victory over bottom-ranked Gaiters (0-8) 54-43 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 16 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Laval dominated on the defensive end, holding Gaiters to just 4 points in second quarter. They also forced 33 Gaiters turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds.
