We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Civitanova (3-9) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Team Crema (3-9) 79-73 on Sunday. Civitanova trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 31-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-79 at the end of the game. Team Crema made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Civitanova turnovers. Civitanova was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Martina Picotti (184-90) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) chipped in 21 points. Four Team Crema players scored in double figures. Guard Veronica Perini (175-88) produced 29 points and 6 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Team Crema moved-up to sixth place in Center, which they share with defeated Civitanova. Civitanova lost sixth consecutive game.
